Rememberance of Mysore


Mysore Palace is one of the most Historic and magnificent buildings. It is a sight not to be missed when it is illuminated on Sundays and festive occasions. The interior of the Palace is equally worth a visit, for its spacious halls, called Mantaps, paintings and architectural beauty. The palace is an excellent combination of Indo-Saracenic architecture. The interior of the Palace is a fine example of Hindu architecture.

Chamundi Hill


Hi friends it is place we often used to visit during our college days with our classmates for the blessings of matha chamundeshwari (Durga)...And also spent a lot of time here at the evening times chatting , Relaxing and having fun of each other with friends...

Chamundi Hill is one of the landmark tourist attractions of Mysore, and it never fails to fall on the itenerary of those visiting Mysore. Other temples in the vicinity of Mysore are srirangapatna,tallakkad, somanathpur and Nanjangud...

Nandi

Hi Friends i hope u can remember the days we used to climb the chamundi hills through steps...we used to rest near by this place and have some eatables and if i am not wrong we have celebrated the birthday of some of our fellow classmates.........

Nandi, Lord Shiva’s Bull, a monolith is found at the 800th step on the hill. It is over 15feet high and 24 feet long.

Statue of mahishasura


A colorful gigantic image of the demon, Mahishasura greets visitors as they reach the summit of the hill. During the reign of Dodda Devaraja, this statue was built, along with the steps leading up the hill.

Brindavan Gardens


One of the most visited places in Mysore by locals and by tourists is the famous Brindavan Gardens. Located about 19kms from the heart of Mysore these beautiful gardens are laid out below the Krishnaraja Sagar dam built across the river Cauvery. These gardens are famous for the illuminated dancing fountains that come to life after sunset.

St. Philomena's church


St. Philomena's church is a church built in the honour of St.Philomena in the Diocese of Mysore.....Saint Philomena is a siant and martyr of the Roman Catholic Church......

A special of grant of Rs 100 crores has been announced while presenting the Budget for the year 2008-09 in the Parliament.
